Let me take a moment to introduce myself!
Jennifer Cheree Smith, Virgo, 5'4", woman with a Passion for Fashion and a Guile for Style....
I began designing as a very young girl. It was not something I looked at as a future career, it was something I did just for pleasure. I was always 'different' from most kids, in style, philosophy, sense of humor and interests. My 'creative' self would engage in the arts. I studied ballet for 11 years, and other forms of dance including, modern, jazz, Latin, hip-hop and ballroom. I would write essays, short stories and poetry. I was an aspiring dentist, wanting to continue a legacy on my dad's side of the family [I had a fascination with teeth - 'different'], however I could not stop creating. I would create designs for formal affairs, including designing the hairstyle.
I would take my hair sketches to my haristylist, who would turn my masterpiece into my new 'do! Seeing as how my deisre was dentistry, I spent most of my time learning about the human dentition, and never took an interest in sewing. However, being the enterprising and busy young woman, I would always seek a talented seamstress to bring my creations to life. Grade school luncheons and graduation, church banquets, Jr. and Sr. Prom, High School Reunion, were all events where I could not show up wearing anything but my designs. As gifted as I was, I hadn't realized until now that something is not a gift until it is shared, so right now I present my gift to you, J. Cheree.
